Launch guidelines

Short rules that keep the board useful for founders and the people discovering their products. Launches are checked against them, automatically first and by a person when needed.

1. What we accept

  • Startups and products people can use today: SaaS, AI tools, apps, marketplaces, developer tools, fintech, e-commerce and hardware.
  • A working product on its own website. A waitlist alone is not a launch.
  • Founders anywhere, with a focus on products built in or for the Middle East and North Africa.

2. A good listing

  • The tagline says what the product does in one clear sentence.
  • A real product website over HTTPS that loads and matches the listing.
  • Honest copy: no claims you cannot back up, no fake reviews or numbers.
  • The most accurate niche, country and pricing model.
  • A square logo that is yours, and screenshots of the real product.

3. Review

Launches that pass the automatic checks (a working HTTPS site, a logo and a tagline) go live right away. The rest get a quick human review.

  • Launches that need a human look are usually reviewed within a day. Live listings that break these rules are removed.
  • Founders pick their own launch week, from this week up to eight weeks ahead.
  • If you submit late in a week, your launch may go out the next week instead.

4. Not allowed

  • Malware, phishing, or deceptive downloads.
  • Scams, fraud, get rich quick schemes, or misleading claims.
  • Illegal products or services in the founder's or users' countries.
  • Spam, duplicates of an existing listing, or placeholder pages.
  • Adult content, weapons, drugs, or gambling.
  • Piracy, stolen content, or impersonation of a brand or a person.

5. Voting

Ask your users and community to upvote you. That is the point of a launch.

  • Do not buy votes, use bots, trade votes in groups, or create extra accounts.
  • Suspicious votes are removed, and listings that game the board are pushed down or removed.
  • Paid plans never buy votes or rank: they only break ties between equal votes.

6. Changes and resubmission

  • If a launch needs changes, you get the reviewer's note by email and in your dashboard.
  • Edit the listing and resubmit it. Your review history is kept.
  • You can edit a live listing at any time; a change of website may need a new check.
