How Machroui works
One board, ranked by points. Here is every rule, in plain words.
- How are startups ranked?
- By points, on one board. Points are your upvotes plus trust points: +1 when your website is live, +2 when you are verified. Ties go to the startup published most recently. Nobody can pay to rank higher.
- Who can vote?
- Anyone with an account, in one tap with Google. One upvote per person per startup. There are no downvotes.
- Do votes last forever?
- No. If a startup goes 6 weeks without a new upvote, it loses half of its remaining votes every week until it gets one. Lost votes do not come back. Trust points never fade. Unvoting and voting again does not count as a new upvote.
- What is the weekly winner?
- Every Monday (UTC) a new weekly race starts. The startup with the most new votes that week is marked #1 this week on the board, wins the week, and shows as Winner of the week on the home page. Winning does not change points: the board never resets.
- What is the free video?
- The first verified startup to reach the points bar (20 points today) wins a full video demo on Fouad's channel, worth hundreds of dollars, free. After each video the bar goes up by 10. The listing must be published for 14 days, only votes from accounts at least 3 days old count, and every claim is reviewed by hand.
- How do I get verified?
- From your dashboard. You need a legal, terms, or about page on your site that names your company, your real name on the listing, and a LinkedIn, X, or Instagram profile with that name. You get the verified badge, +2 points, a followed link to your site, and a shot at the free video.
- What does Featured mean?
- Featured startups are picked by the Machroui team. They get a spot at the top of pages, and they still show at their real rank on the board.
- What does Sponsored mean?
- Sponsored cards in the side rails are ads, including affiliate offers. They never change the ranking. To advertise, use the contact form.
