Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By visiting Machroui, creating an account, or listing a startup, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country if it is higher, to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Your account

Accounts are created with an email address and a password, and the email address must be confirmed before the account is active. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.

If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, change your password and contact us right away. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings.

4. Your content and the license you grant us

When you list a startup you provide content such as a name, tagline, description, website link, and logo. You keep full ownership of everything you submit.

So that the platform can work, you grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on Machroui and in materials that promote the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies remain in routine backups for a limited time.

5. Listing content rules

You must only list startups that you own or are authorized to represent, and the information you provide must be truthful and accurate.

You may not publish content that is illegal, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. Spam, scams, and listings created only to advertise unrelated products are not allowed.

6. Voting integrity

The leaderboard only works if votes are honest. You may not buy, sell, or trade votes, create multiple accounts to vote, use bots or scripts to vote automatically, or organize coordinated voting campaigns (brigading) for or against a listing.

We may remove votes, adjust rankings, or suspend accounts involved in vote manipulation.

7. AI generated content

Machroui uses an AI model to generate listing summaries and niche tags from the text founders provide, and a discovery chatbot that answers visitor questions using only published listings.

AI output is best effort and can contain mistakes. Founders should review the generated summary and tags for their listing, and visitors should not treat chatbot answers as professional, financial, or legal advice.

8. Moderation

Our administrators may hide or remove any listing, vote, or account that violates these terms, and may do so without prior notice when needed to protect the platform or its users. We try to apply these rules fairly and consistently.

9. Fees and paid tiers

Listing a startup on Machroui is currently free. We may introduce paid options in the future, such as a one time listing fee or monthly subscriptions, processed through a payment provider such as Stripe.

If paid tiers launch, their prices and conditions will be shown clearly before you pay, and these terms will be updated accordingly. No payment data is collected today.

10. Termination

You can stop using Machroui and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service.

When an account is deleted, the profile, listings, votes, and uploaded logos linked to it are permanently removed.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

Machroui is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any listing, ranking, or AI generated content is accurate or complete. Startups listed on the platform are not endorsed or vetted by us.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Machroui and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is currently zero for a free service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the site. Continuing to use Machroui after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
